Bukavu: "The situation is dire"
Despatches from our twin diocese of Bukavu in the eastern DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) paint an increasingly bleak picture of life for ordinary people following the occupation of Bukavu city by Rwandan-backed insurgents.

2026: A Year of Mission
Planning is under way for a major spiritual celebration in May of next year that will seek to emulate - or even surpass - the Open to God gathering held forty years ago. And a new diocesan logo has been introduced, inspired by the notions of past, present and future that the event will seek to evoke.
