Wales has a new archbishop. The Bishop of Monmouth, Cherry Vann, was elected in July and will be formally enthroned later in the year. She is the 15th person – and the first woman - to hold the office.
"It’s going to take a while but I think we’ve got a chance now to do some really good work across the Province to ensure that all six dioceses are in a good place.”

Sea Sunday brought together the LMAs of Bro Aeron Mydr and Glyn Aeron Coastal for a joint service on the beach at New Quay, next to the lifeboat station, in support of the Mission to Seafarers.
Members of the churches, lifeboat station and holiday makers joined in the service led by Revd Beth Davies and Revd Fran Croxon-Hall with the theme of those who serve, work, fish or save lives on the seas and waters of the world but especially the waters of Cardigan Bay.

Regarded by many as among the 20th century’s greatest Welsh poets, Waldo Williams (1904-1971) grew up within sight of the Preseli Hills and they are the subject of one of his best-known works.
A lifelong pacifist, Preseli was composed in 1946 as a protest against plans to turn the area into a permanent military training ground.
Hume Gravell describes the three hills in the poem that the poet calls “the wall of my boyhood”
