Bishop Dorrien elected
The former Archdeacon of Carmarthen, Dorrien Davies, has been elected as the next Bishop of St Davids.
The Archbishop of Wales, Andrew John, made the announcement after after a two-day meeting of the Electoral College behind the locked doors of St Davids cathedral.
Archbishop Andrew said he was “delighted.. His experience of this place and his deep wisdom and his skills will all be deployed in both leading the diocese forward and bringing it together in faith, hope and love."
His appointment was confirmed at a Sacred Synod held in Cardiff on November 29th. His consecration will take place in Bangor Cathedral - seat of the Archbishop - on January 27th and he will be enthroned in St David cathedral a week later on February 3rd.

WE SHALL REMEMBER…
On Sunday, 12th November, Holy Trinity Church, Aberystwyth, welcomed members of the Royal British Legion, the Armed Forces, cadets, the Emergency Services, local troops, the town’s dignitaries and the local community to the town’s Remembrance Sunday service. Around 200 people came to commemorate those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The service was followed by the parade to the town’s war memorial for a short Act of Remembrance.
