Llanbadarn Fawr is one of the most ancient and important Christian Sites in Wales. St Padarn, a contemporary of St David, founded a monastery here in the sixth century. The Church stands on hill looking east and its bells ring out towards the Cambrian Mountains. The local ministry area is a rural one with eleven churches spread over a large geographical area. However, the busy University town of Aberystwyth borders the LMA offering retail and relaxation opportunities.

You will need to be respectful of the historic and traditional context but willing to utilise the latest technological tools to enable good communication, outreach and pastoral care. The team of clerical and lay colleagues want to ensure that everyone can realise their potential in Christ.

Fluency in Welsh is not essential, but a commitment to learn is.

The University town of Aberystwyth stands between the curve of Cardigan Bay and the beauty of the Cambrian Mountains. The community of Penparcau sits on the southern edge of Aberystwyth and retains its own specific identity. We are looking for someone not only familiar with the challenges of urban ministry and serving among marginalised communities, but also who is also able to embrace living in a rural area.

You need to be:

· Able to communicate the Gospel effectively

· Willing to work collaboratively

· Interested in pastoral, social and environmental outreach
