The Lord Bishop of St Davids, the Rt Revd Dorrien Davies, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Dr Jonathon Wright as Priest-in-Charge within the United Benefice and Local Ministry Area of Greater Dewisland, in succession to the Revd Christopher Brown following his upcoming retirement in July 2024.He will have primary pastoral care for the churches of St Mary’s Fishguard, St Gwyndaf’s Llanwnda (Goodwick), St Brynach’s Pontfaen, St Mary’s Manorowen and St David’s Llanychar.Jonathon currently serves as a Priest in the Penderi Ministry Area with responsibility for St Illtyd, Fforestfach and St Peter, Cockett in the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon.Dr Wright will be licensed on Friday 6th September 2024 at 7.00pm in St Mary’s Church, Fishguard. He will reside at the Vicarage, Fishguard.Please pray for Jonathon in this new ministry, his wife Charlotte and children Martha and Peter as they prepare to move to their new home and for the people whom he will serve.
