Called to Order!

The Order of St. David and St. Non is a growing organisation. Stuart Millson hopes it may grow even more.

Order of St David and St Non

Founded by a Welsh Christian patriot, the late Simon Evans, today the Order is led by Steve Turner who talks of the need for spreading the word, not just about the group’s activities, but the promotion of tradition and Christian values. “Some of our leading members live and work in England, so cannot always attend events west of the Severn. So this year, we’re hoping to attract more members in Cymru, although you don’t necessarily have to be Welsh to join.”

Steve, a Londoner himself, but with a Welsh grandmother, continued: “The Order welcomes people from everywhere. Yet at our heart is the self-effacing philosophy of our Patron Saint: to achieve the little things in life. And who knows what will follow?”

To this end, the Order recently made a donation to the repair and restoration project at St. Davids Cathedral. Yet the aim is to restore and strengthen our spiritual life, too — hence our call for new members, to help with all the good things now going on in the diocese and across Cymru.

A love of tradition, history, folklore, ceremony, saints and scripture, combined with a desire to shape our life today in Wales and beyond, our friendly and welcoming Order would love to hear from you.
