Finding new paths
Plant Dewi is investigating new sources of funding to sustain its many projects.
Plant Dewi was established nearly 22 years ago and the support that we have had over the years from the diocese has been outstanding.

Without you all, we would not be able to support the hundreds of families that access our projects week in, week out.
As costs increase and the amount of grant funding available to charities goes down, it is necessary now to look at other ways of fundraising to enable the Plant Dewi projects to continue to be there for families in need.
On the 24th of May, the Children, Youth and Families Missioner and trustee of Plant Dewi, Revd Sophie Whitmarsh, Catrin Eldred, Manager of Plant Dewi, and other keen supporters will be undertaking a 26-mile sponsored walk to raise money for Plant Dewi.
Families that access Plant Dewi projects report they are a lifeline and they don't know what they would do without them. You can help Plant Dewi to make sure they never have to find out by donating to the fundraiser.

There are many other ways you can support Plant Dewi.
Did you know we have a 100 Club? For just £24 per year, you could be in with a chance of winning monthly cash prizes, with proceeds going direct to Plant Dewi projects.
Or, you could have a yellow collection box in your home or church, a box where your loose change can make a different to families living in the diocese.
Perhaps you’d like to give monthly, by setting up a standing order – Plant Dewi can claim gift aid too on qualifying donations.
For more information, please visit our website – www.plantdewi.org.uk.
We are fortunate to have a wonderful group of volunteers in the Carmarthen area who have raised money through an annual coffee morning for Plant Dewi. The Support Group’s Pancake Coffee Morning, held in February every year, has raised thousands of pounds. Perhaps you would like to arrange a coffee morning where Plant Dewi can come along and talk about their work.
Back in November, some of our projects in Cross Hands, Newcastle Emlyn and Pembroke Dock held fundraising events and together raised nearly £500. This will make such a difference to what we can provide to families attending our groups. Thank you to all who contributed.
A big thank you goes to Bishop Dorrien for hosting Christmas events last year in aid of Plant Dewi, and to all the churches and individuals who buy Christmas cards, contribute during Christingle and Carol Services, and who give so kindly throughout the year.
Plant Dewi is blessed to have this network in the diocese who keep giving so that families are nurtured, and communities are strengthened.
