Back to the Holy Land?
The Foreign Office has updated its travel advice such that it no longer advises against all, or all but essential, travel to some areas of Israel and the West Bank.

This means that those who now wish to travel to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth and the Galilee areas are no longer doing so against their advice, hence it is now feasible once again to organise pilgrimages to the Holy Land.
Whilst some areas remain on the red list – especially Gaza and parts of the West Bank, restrictions have been lifted in respect of the Bethlehem Governorate, Jerusalem Governorate, Ramallah Municipality and, Jericho Municipality, including the areas south and west towards Jerusalem..
It will come as welcome news not only to pilgrims wishing to visit the sacred sites but also the local Palestinians who cater to their needs. Many of them depend on pilgrimage for their livelihood and, having been isolated since October 2023, will be eager to welcome new faces, enjoy companionship and see solidarity with their fellow Christians from the UK.
