New Bishop's Chaplain appointed

“The Bishop of St Davids, Rt Revd Dorrien Davies, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Jonathan Parker as Bishop’s Chaplain with effect from the 1st September 2024.

Jonathan will replace Ven Paul Mackness, Archdeacon of St Davids who has been serving as Bishop’s Chaplain Pro Tem since the election of Bishop Dorrien in October 2023. The Archdeacon will remain as Clerical Secretary.

Jonathan currently serves as Priest-in- Charge within the LMA and United Benefice of Bro Dinefwr with primary pastoral care for the Llandeilo Pastoral Area. He will be licensed by the Bishop at the Cathedral on Sunday 15th September at 4.00pm. He will shortly move to Abergwili to reside at the Vicarage there. Please pray for Jonathan in this new ministry, for his wife Melanie and their family and for his work in supporting the Bishop.”
