Lottery grant secures Plant Dewi programmes
Plant Dewi is celebrating the award of an £398,078 grant by the National Lottery Community Fund.
Staff, supporters and some of the Plant Dewi Families Together Groups they serve gathered for the announcement in Ammanford and were joined by the MP for Caerfyrddin, Ann Davies.
The grant will enable Plant Dewi to develop their Connecting Communities project for the next three years, including extended hours at their existing groups in Cross Hands, Cwmgors, Ammanford and Carmarthen and new groups opening in Llandovery, Brynaman and Whitland.
Welcoming the award, Plant Dewi Manager Catrin Eldred said: "Plant Dewi has been serving communities in Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire for over 22 years and we're so glad to be in a position where we can extend our reach."
Ann Davies MP said: "This project is a brilliant example of what happens when vision meets action, when funding, community spirit and a clear purpose come together to create something that will genuinely change lives."
