Art on the Faith Trail

The annual Art on the Faith Trail exhibition has returned to Sr Davids Cathedral after a two-year absence.

A number of local artists have contributed works to the show, which focus on a sense of place in spiritual surroundings.

"The connection between art and pilgrimage is a strong one," artist Tim Williams explains. "The process of creation requires us to search within ourselves, to be in solitude and to find inspiration in the world around us."

In previous years, artworks have been displayed in churches across North Pembrokeshire that were on the ancient pilgrimage routes, and while this year's show is confined to the cathedral it is hoped that it can soon be re-instated in its original form.

The exhibition is free to view at the eastern end of the cathedral and runs until August 31st.
