The online Faculty System
All applications to the DAC are now done online. Paper copies of documents etc will not be accepted.
The Online Faculty System (OFS) processes three different types of faculty application: List A, List B and full.
List A and B applications can be thought of as a reduced form of full faculty and cover routine maintenance, like-for-like repairs and straightforward works that have little or no impact on the historic fabric of the church or churchyard.
The quickest way to access the system is to visit https://buildings.churchinwales.org.uk. Here you will find links to the system itself, property guidance notes and heritage information as well as a list of all live faculty applications.
Alternatively, to go straight to the application process, visit https://faculty.churchinwales.org.uk
For church heritage information go to https://heritage.churchinwales.org.uk/churches
Registering with the OFS is quick and easy. You will be required to fill in some details about yourself, choose email preferences, select your role (Applicant in this case), and the church and diocese to which you belong. Once you have created your account, you will receive an automatic email acknowledging your registration and asking you to verify your email address by clicking on a link. An Administrator will then approve your account before you can sign in. Once the account has been approved, you will receive another confirmation email with a link to the OFS.
If you are still unsure then please contact the DAC Secretary Mrs Jan Every, who is based at the Diocesan Office, Abergwili, Carmarthen SA31 2JG, Tel No: 01267 236145 or email her at janetevery@churchinwales.org.uk
