Collegial Leadership: Leading Many Authentically led by Sue and Andy Henley
How can we build effective, authentic, and collegial leadership in our LMAs? The day will focus on the challenging task of building good, distributed leadership amongst clergy and lay people with diverse backgrounds, values, and expectations. It will explore how to develop confidence in your leadership to support your LMA team to engage well with the wider community.
Sue Henley has a background in professional social work and has led and trained large teams both in adult, and in children and family social care. She has served as a parish warden for several years including during an interregnum. Currently she is the lay chair of Aberystwyth LMA, a member of the Diocesan Standing Committee and Governing Body.
Andy Henley is Emeritus Professor in Cardiff Business School. After an extensive career in higher education, including in senior management, in three Welsh universities. His expertise is in enterprise, small business, and economic development. He developed and directed the Lead Wales programme for Welsh small business and social enterprise and has recently served as president of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Currently he is a member of the Diocesan Board of Finance.
