Priest-in-Charge, Haverfordwest

Haverfordwest LMA

This job has closed. Other vacancies...

The Diocese of St Davids is embarking on a far reaching structural and operational change, moving towards larger united parishes.

This calls for priests and lay people to come together in Local Ministry Area (LMA) teams, to re-order ministry and mission that will fit our Church and Diocese for the future. We therefore need ministers who are accommodating of change, flexible in outlook and approach and excellent team players.

To serve initially in the United Parish of Haverfordwest and Camrose and then Priest in Charge and LMA Dean of The Haverfordwest LMA.

The Parish currently comprises three churches, St Martin of Tours and St Mary the Virgin within the County Town of Haverfordwest and the nearby village of Camrose.

Both town churches have strong musical traditions and are historically significant. Camrose is served by an NSM colleague. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an inspirational, energetic and creative priest, to equip the people of God, and work with them to enable spiritual growth and further the mission and ministry of the Church.

We hope the new priest will build on the good relationships with the community and schools and help grow the work started with families, children and young people.

The successful applicant will then become Priest in Charge and LMA Dean of the Haverfordwest LMA which will be formed in late 2019, working with lay and ordained colleagues in a wider context.
