Plygain services

Sun 2 December 2018 - Sun 27 January 2019

Plygain is an ancient Welsh church tradition in that greets Christmas Day in song. Historically, it took place between 3 and 6 o’clock in the morning, whereafter the day’s celebrations (and feasting) could begin.

It had died out in many parts of Wales but is enjoying something of a resurgence, as this list of services in St Davids Diocese shows – and it’s not confined to Christmas morning at 3am!
