Diocese

‘Diocese’ refers to the geographical territory in which a bishop exercises oversight. The Church in Wales is divided into six dioceses each with its own cathedral in which is housed the cathedra (the bishop’s ‘chair’ or ‘throne’).

Christina Jenkins, Acting Manager of Plant Dewi, looks forward to anniversary events and invites readers to share their memories

May 2022 will mark the 20th anniversary of Plant Dewi and we are in the process of planning a number of events to be held throughout the year to celebrate our work throughout the diocese. One of those will be a Fun Day at the St David’s Cathedral on 3rd September when families, staff and trustees will come together to enjoy a day of activities, food and blessings for the future of the project.

Justin Arnott

As part of the lead up to the Fun Day, St Davids Social Responsibility Officer, Justin Arnott, is interested in capturing the stories and memories from those who were involved with our organisation from the very beginning. Through a series of filmed interviews, the aim will be to create a video that can be shown in the cathedral and posted on social media and website platforms.
