RS Thomas Literary Festival & Poetry Competition

The PCC is holding a Literary Festival and Poetry Competition and the programme is as follows.

Friday: 15 September 2017

11.00   Walk up Foel  led by Jeremy Moore, photographer  £5.00

Walks that RST loved up the mountain and in the Ynyshir RSPB bird reserve

2.00    Peter Lord talk: The Romantics and RS Thomas’ wife, the artist Elsi Eldridge   £10.00

Note: an exhibition of Elsi Eldridge paintings will be in the church throughout the festival

4.00    Jason Walford Davies: new discoveries in the RS Thomas archive  £10.00

7.30    Concert in church- Sgarmes. (Director Huw Bates) & raffle £10.00

Saturday 16 September 

11 am Service led by Revd Andrew Loat and Canon Stuart Bell; sermon by the Bishop of St Davids, Rt Revd Joanna Penberthy; collection followed by dedication of St Non’s Holy well (now restored)

12.45   Buffet lunch in Iron Room with Bishop Joanna
